📜 1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Indian Pandit platform — whether to book ritual services, register as a pandit, or register as a vendor — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform. Indian Pandit reserves the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the platform after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms apply to all users of Indian Pandit, including families booking services, registered pandits, and vendors supplying ritual materials.

🖥️ 2. Use of Platform

Indian Pandit grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use our platform for its intended purposes. You agree to:

Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when submitting forms or registering
Use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms
Not attempt to access, interfere with, or disrupt any part of the platform or its servers
Not use automated tools, scrapers, or bots to extract information from the platform
Not impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity

Indian Pandit reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms or misuses the platform.

📅 3. Booking & Services

Indian Pandit facilitates the booking of pandits and ritual services. The following terms apply to all bookings:

Bookings are subject to pandit availability and confirmation from our team
Details submitted during booking (ritual type, date, location) must be accurate and complete
Indian Pandit acts as a coordination platform; the pandit is an independent service provider
Service quality and conduct of individual pandits, while subject to our vetting process, remain the pandit's responsibility
Any specific ritual requirements or samagri lists should be communicated at the time of booking
Indian Pandit reserves the right to decline or cancel any booking at its discretion

🙏 4. Pandit Registration

Pandits applying to join the Indian Pandit platform agree to the following:

All information provided during registration must be accurate, including qualifications and experience
Registered pandits must maintain professional and respectful conduct with all clients
Pandits must honour confirmed bookings unless an emergency prevents attendance; prior notice is required
Indian Pandit reserves the right to remove a pandit from the platform for misconduct, false information, or repeated cancellations
Pandits agree to the platform's commission or service fee structure communicated at the time of onboarding
Registration does not guarantee bookings; assignments are based on availability, location, and client requirements

🏪 5. Vendor Registration

Vendors supplying ritual materials (samagri, flowers, etc.) through Indian Pandit agree to:

Supply only authentic, high-quality ritual items as described in their listings
Fulfil orders accurately and on time as confirmed through the platform
Maintain transparent and fair pricing for all listed items
Comply with applicable laws regarding product quality, labelling, and delivery
Indian Pandit may remove vendors who fail to meet quality or reliability standards

💳 6. Payments & Fees

Payment terms for Indian Pandit services:

Service fees and pricing will be communicated clearly prior to booking confirmation
All payments are processed securely through our designated payment partners
Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
Indian Pandit may update its pricing from time to time; the price at booking confirmation is the price you pay
In the event of a payment dispute, please contact us within 7 days of the transaction

🔄 7. Cancellation & Refunds

The following cancellation and refund policy applies to all bookings made through Indian Pandit:

Cancellation by user (more than 48 hours before ceremony): Full refund, less any applicable processing fees
Cancellation by user (within 48 hours of ceremony): Partial refund at Indian Pandit's discretion, based on preparation already completed
Cancellation by Indian Pandit / pandit unavailability: Full refund will be processed within 5–7 business days
No-show by user: No refund will be issued
Refunds will be credited to the original payment method

For ceremonies involving pre-purchased samagri or materials, refunds may be partial based on the cost of materials already procured. Contact us as early as possible to avoid charges.

🤝 8. User Conduct

All users of Indian Pandit — clients, pandits, and vendors — are expected to maintain a respectful, honest, and professional environment. The following are strictly prohibited:

Harassment, abuse, or disrespectful behaviour towards pandits, vendors, or platform staff
Submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent information
Attempting to contact pandits or vendors outside the platform to bypass service fees
Posting defamatory or harmful content in any feedback or communication channel
Using the platform for any illegal or unauthorised purpose

Violation of these conduct standards may result in immediate suspension of platform access.

⚖️ 9. Limitation of Liability

Indian Pandit provides a coordination and booking platform. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Indian Pandit is not liable for the quality, outcome, or conduct of any ritual performed by an independent pandit
Indian Pandit is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or disputes arising from force majeure events (natural disasters, strikes, etc.)
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for the specific booking in question
Indian Pandit is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform

We make every effort to verify pandits and vendors on our platform, but we cannot guarantee outcomes. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly.

All content on the Indian Pandit platform — including but not limited to text, images, logos, icons, design elements, and software — is the property of Indian Pandit or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any content from this platform without prior written permission
The Indian Pandit name and logo are trademarks and may not be used without authorisation
User-submitted content (booking details, feedback) grants Indian Pandit a licence to use it for service delivery and platform improvement

🏛️ 11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from the use of Indian Pandit shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
